Anna Andersen is an award-winning documentary filmmaker whose work focuses on the dynamism of the female identity and worlds unknown. Anna’s most recent documentary, THE PROMISE OF SPRING, explored a complex mother/daughter relationship between one of the most prolific artists you’ve never heard of, and her daughter who is searching for her own identity and life path.
Anna is particularly dedicated to making the documentary space more accessible and diverse. She is a proud member of the documentary group Video Consortium, where over the last two years she’s helped establish and grow a global mentorship program, reaching filmmakers in six different countries.
Anna's documentary work has been screened at DOC NYC, Florida Film Festival, and Sidewalk Film Festival, and has been awarded multiple Grand Jury and Audience Awards at Florida Film Festival and Tampa Bay International Gay & Lesbian FF.
